IIRC, Komodo has some fairly decent help WRT its capabilities and interface, and should have come with its own documentation. Try reading that.

As for creating .exe, let that wait a bit. First learn Perl.

The Monastery can help, but much of the work is yours. O'Reilly's "Learning Perl" is one good place to start; there are numerous decent Perl tuts (especially at colleges and universities -- try Googleing for (.edu && Perl).

And, for heaven's sake, install Perl! Among other things, doing so will provide you with the documentation that is part of the ActiveState package.
