in thread Getting a Perl connection to a Firebird2.1-classic database in Kubuntu 9.10
Hi Count
Thanks for that. Well according to http://www.mail-archive.com/libdbi-drivers-devel@lists.sourceforge.net/msg00058.html "firebird2 no longer provides gds.h, as the entire user api is in ibase.h."
I tried running the Makefile.PL through my Komodo debugger, but Komodo isn't playing and I don't think my Perl is upto manually going though it yet. If I look on the cpan entry http://search.cpan.org/~edpratomo/DBD-InterBase-0.44/InterBase.pm it isn't cleareed for the latest releases of Firebird. if I can't fix this, do you know what other database connection types are there to Firebird?
Many thanks for your help.
Steve
