sherab has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi folks! I looked at the Moose Homepage and saw links to various resources but none for someone totally unfamiliar with it. My team and I run a huge government website and the code we have reaches back a ways. We would like to start making use of some of perl's more recent innovations and we're looking at Moose. Does anyone have a link or two suitable for someone looking at jumping into Moose? Many thanks!

Thanks chromatic, that's a great start!
I see that the Moose::Manual and Moose::Cookbook don't appear in the current distribution but in the old 0.18 release. Why so?

The wikibook is actually very much not recommended as it is very out of date and completely wrong in several places. Ideally the author would either update it, or take it down, but to date he has done neither.
