how to install expect on a remote machine!

Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I'm a perl beginner. I log on to a linux machine from my windows machine for work using putty(telnet). I need to install expect module. Please instruct me how to do that!

Take a look at the Installing Modules section from tutorials. Also Yes, even you can use CPAN, may be worth reading. Update: the module name is Expect, remember to use the correct case: `>cpan Expect` Martin	[reply] [d/l]
