      Actually, it's abandoned :(

      It stopped (apparently shortly after I went to bed) with a dratted pop-up asking me to confirm something or other, still showing > 39000 days to go. I'll try again tonight. This time I'll wait for the pop-up and hit the "Ignore all" button before retiring.
