As I sit here by the fire enjoying being with my daughter, wife, and family I am contemplating the joys and wonders that Perl has brought to me and my career over the past several years...and the exquisite joy of the Monestary and the amazing folks who give the Monestary its phenomenal fraternity. This haiku is for all of our dear monks. Thanks, Happy New Year.

For some pretty pictures of snowfall in Albuquerque: A Perfect Albuquerque Snowfall.

Sorry, I had to look it up on Google as I could hardly believe it ever snows in New Mexico.

A program should be light and agile, its subroutines connected like a string of pearls. The spirit and intent of the program should be retained throughout. There should be neither too little or too much, neither needless loops nor useless variables, neither lack of structure nor overwhelming rigidity." - The Tao of Programming, 4.1 - Geoffrey James

You'd be right that it hardly ever snows here...though usually a couple of times a winter. The picture that you referenced is really beautiful. We had a pretty nice, lite now on Wed before Christmas; I didn't note if the one you referenced was from that particular snow but it sure looks like it could be from that. It was actually a pretty nice and neat snow day.

Thanks so much for the picture...most of the snow has now mosty melted even though temps here have been unseasonably cold (for here that means highs in the mid- to low-40's (deg F) and lows in the low 20's...balmy weather for the north east...but pretty cold for here). So the reminder of the snow is pretty neat.
