sman has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hey guys,

I just finished the setting of redirecting my CPAN email xxx@cpan.org to my publicly visible email address via PAUSE interface this afternoon. I also send out a test email to my CPAN email account then, but do not receive it back to my publicly visible email address yet.

Does anyone know why this happen ? Do I need to wait a little while? Thanks.

    I believe it says you'll need to wait a bit:

    "Please allow a few hours for any change you make to this setting for propagation."

    for it to sync up. I did the same a few weeks back and didn't start getting email until the next day. It did work eventually, so give it a day and try again.

    sman, please contact the admins, have them update the faq, they hardly visit perlmonks :)
