The main idea behind Tkx is that it is a very thin wrapper on top of Tcl, i.e. that what you get is exactly the behaviour you read about in the Tcl/Tk documentation with no surprises added by the Perl layer.
This is the "reference manual" for Tkx. For a gentle introduction please read the Tkx::Tutorial. The tutorial at http://www.tkdocs.com/tutorial/ is also strongly recommened.

So, I need to learn TCL and figure out how to convert that into Perl/Tkx. Thanks for the references, I've looked at most of them and have mostly used http://www.tkdocs.com/tutorial, which is excellent. I was able to convert my script from Tk to Tkx, except for the drag and drop. Just don't understand how to convert the drag and drop from TCL to Tkx. I'll keep plugging away and maybe it will make sense. Again, thanks for the quick responses. The script has a screen with about 20 things that the user needs to fill in or select. They then select a button to send a request to a configuration manager. When they do that I create an xml file with all their selections and save it to a network drive. I then create a mail message stating that a request has been created, with a link to the xml file. The Configuration Manager can then use the link in the email they receive to drag and drop the xml file into the gui. They then select a button to perform a build of the system. There's several thousand lines of code, but can't figure out drag and drop for Tkx.	[reply]
