Print First 3, last 30 lines of input

`head -n 3 filename tail -n 30 filename` [download]	[reply] [d/l]

Are these shell head/tail, or does perl have them. I am familiar with shell ones, but my older perl doc does not show them. I will try the net as well. Thanx	[reply]

Oh come on. That is a trivial program in just about any language. Didn't you learn anything from your last post? You've got to make an effort. That's the only way to learn a language.	[reply]

Saved: You can do it like so: `my @lines=<DATA>; print @lines[0..2,-30..-1];` [download] ...roboticus	[reply] [d/l]
