Agreed, installing the entire Cygwin compatibility layer for dos2unix/unix2dos would be overkill. I have found that when searching for Windows compiled versions of some common *nix utility, GnuWin32 often saves the day. In this case, they have a native compiled conv, u2d, and d2u (aka convert line endings, unix2dos, and dos2unix):

    the one liners in that last link won't work on Windows w/o setting PERLIO environmental variable: set PERLIO=perlio . took me 5 hours to find this out *blush*

    the Perl script probably will, but I didn't try it
