in thread Perl CGI vs. PHP

Not seeing how it helps and saying it hurts is a completely different thing. Forgive me for trying to offer some thoughts in answer to a question, I forgot that if something has already been answered it mustn't be discussed again. . . (who was Newton anyway when he said something about gravity; they had already decided there was none! and he offered his opinion, cursed wretch!). Just in case srawls responds to this, which he probably will, I'll just go ahead and say this: shut up, you're an idiot.

My point is that the original poster wanted to know what our thoughts were on the benefits of using Perl vs. PHP. Since we already have thoughts on the subject documented in other nodes, a pointer to those discussions was appropriate.

Now, had the original poster said something to the effect of "I read several posts comparing Perl and PHP, but I have further questions. For example..." then that warrants a new discussion.
