raisputin has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:
I know what this does, but I want to ensure someone else knows and will be directing them here for the answer.
Could someone please explain what the two following commands do:
find . -name '*' -print0|xargs -0 perl -pi -e 's/<username>/******/g'
find . -name '*' -print0|xargs -0 perl -pi -e 's/(\d{1,3}\.\d{1,3}\.\d +{1,3}\.\d{1,3})/********/g'
