You really need to clarify your question, preferably with the relevant part of the code you've written and the (verbatim) errors it generates.
OTOH, taking a wag at what you mean, have you installed DBD::Sybase or any other "sybase module?" WAGing again, I suspect the error you've paraphrased reflects an attempt to use Sybase::... without having it installed... in which case, the answer is "Yes, the method you're trying to us to do whatever you're trying to do really needs the relevant module."
