Automation using Perl

carunkumar has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Dear Monks , I am trying to automate using HttP :: Recorder . I am finding it difficult to start the process such as setting the proxy , recording from Mozilla / IE etc ,, Although i visited some websites , i couldn't grasp since i am new to perl .
