Can you tell me why there is no definition of "Win32::Exe->new($filename)" and also what is missing in my case?

It doesn't matter why your installation of Win32::Exe is broken, simply re-install Win32::Exe. 

$ cpan Win32::Exe

$cpanp i Win32::Exe
