Screen recording

Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi,

Is it possible to record the screen using perl ? I mean video recording.

I searched cpan for a module but could not find anything helps there.

Tell us a little bit more. What OS, what output format, for what purpose? Also search for vnc2swf and similar solutions. Alexander -- Today I will gladly share my knowledge and experience, for there are no sweeter words than "I told you so". ;-)	[reply]

Windows and/or Linux I dont want it to record VNC ... I need to record the screen on the local computer. Based on triggered action I will start recording and turn it off after a while	[reply]

"Windows and/or Linux" and "I don't want it to record VNC" are mutually exclusive. You need to decide either on a platform or to go cross-platform. VNC is the cross-platform solution.	[reply]
