vit has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Dear Monks,
Could somebody share experience in retrieving Alexa traffic rank. I found a few modules but they are not very clear for me.

    ...found a few...

    Which ones?

    ...not very clear

    What, precisely is unclear?

...and, for those of us unencumbered by knowledge of Alexa traffic rank: where does the data reside; in what form; and subject to what terms of use? How do you plan to use whatever you retrieve? (ie, don't make us Google your terms to help you solve your problem.)

That said, a quick glance around CPAN and the web brings up this nugget (which may or may not have anything to do with your question, since the question doesn't give us much to go on): "In order to access the Alexa Web Information Service, you will need an Amazon Web Services Subscription ID."

Now, when I see something like that, my inclination is to suspect that following up on the "Subscription ID" might lead to information about the API, which, in turn and when coupled with a bit of reading the module docs, just might put you in a position to ask a well-formed question... which, IMO, you ought to know how to ask after two years as a Monk.
