pmsquillace has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hello All:

I am currently using a script called Perlfect which is a website indexer for searching terms on your website.

It seems to work fine however there are a few things that annoy me and I was wondering if anyone here knew of some patches or tweaks to make it work the way I want it too.

There is a config file that will allow you to change something particularity which is to search out numbers. This seems to work but only if you search the EXACT number you are looking for. Some of our sku numbers have # in front of them or contain a letter like 1122B and that results in a no match.

Is there a patch or tweak out there that someone knows of for perlfect that can be used to fix this?

Thanks for any help or advice on this, Paul

I found some patches here. You could also try putting the number in double-quotes as "#1122" or "1122B".
