I've been a working programming for over 20 years now, ever since I left University. Mostly I've been a serial entrepreneur, working for one startup after another (still haven't made my fortune though). Currently I'm out of work and looking for my next project to sign on to. For many years Perl has been my interpreted language of choice. I use it wherever a scripting language seems appropriate, which is everything from automating simple tasks to complex text processing applications. Lately I've been seriously thinking of polishing up some of my private projects and releasing them open source, so I've joined PerlMonks to find out what to do and not to do.
