Could you post the dir where you installed perl? I guess

dmake.EXE:  Error: -- c:\winxs: Invalid argument
[download]

might be a hint.

The last time I installed Strawberry Perl the installation directory couldn't be changed from c:\strawberry, I'm not sure if this is still the case.	[reply]

With the zip package you can install it wherever you like. I guess that the msi package still installs into c:\strawberry. Cheers, Rob	[reply]

I uninstalled my older version and upgraded to the latest release via the msi package, it now prompts for an installation path, the default being c:\strawberry	[reply]
