It is more likely you did not read the README and follow the instructions correctly.

yes, you are probably right, my english may also be in cause, whatsoever, I am stuck and tried for more than 12th time to follow what I think I read in this README and on the googling I do and still this is not compiling.
This is why I try to get some help and advise here, so please stop telling me to read this file, it doesn't help me, even if, I am sure, the solution is in there ...

In that case see How (Not) To Ask A Question We're not supposed to guess what you did, you're supposed to tell us.

are you refering to : "Be Nice
Indeed, "don't argue with the people you've asked for help. If you aren't going to take their advice, don't waste their donated time by asking it." Better to simply move on rather than start a flame war.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
        ?
I was under the impression I gave all the informations, but I will redo, as it seems to be needed :
I am working on WINDOWS XP environement with strawberry perl installed in c:/strawberry
I try to install DBD::SYBASE in order to access a MS SQL 2000 server
I understood that I needed to install either SYBASE or FREEDTS, I did installed SYBASE in c:\Sybase
Now, I try to compil the DBD-Sybase-1.10 within

As you pinpoint to me, the makefile does not detect sybase, after wondering in the makefile.pl, I found out that it was looking for "Sybase Client-Library" in the file : C:\Sybase\OCS-15_0\lib\libsybct.lib
which doesn't contain the string ...

I hope it is enought detailled, if not do not hesitate to ask

I do not repost the full error dump, as it is available in a previous post.
