I'd like to be able to edit the links in my personal nodes nodelet, but i can't find a way; in edit user settings i see "add" and "remove" but no "edit".

i can think of a number of reasons to want to edit these links; for one, i'd like to be able to chang ethe title on ones that are only in there by id. for another, some links only work right with other stuff in the URL; for instance, fullpage chat won't work, but this will. Also, it would be nice to be able to add a link to, say, the stats page there, even though it's not a node. and i would like some of them, including the framed chatterbox, to be able to open in another wwindow -- perhaps via use of the "target" attribute of the <A href...> anchor tag.

can this be arranged? or do i just have to muddle through? i think it would double the usefulness of the personal node nodelet.

BTW, you used to be able to do this. Then you could only do it for links that weren't added by the "add this node" feature. Now you can't edit any of them. ):

Though "Delete" plus "Add" is a poor man's "Edit".

Also, you already can use <a href="..."> in your personal nodelet.

Update: To do "3184&displaytype=raw", you need to enter <a href="/?node_id=3184&displaytype=raw">Description</a>, BTW. I use something similar to have quick access to "My latest nodes" from the personal nodelet.

delete and add together are a poor edit, i agree, but when i tried to add "3184&displaytype=raw" it turned & into %26 and = into %3D, so i got "3184%26displaytype%3Draw" -- which index.pl rightly has trouble finding.

the <A href...> thing does work, i had just assumed it wouldn't, since there was no indication it would, and the personal nodelet did seem to be munging my other stuff. great! thanks.

update: yeah, that's what i do now that i know <A ...> works. what didn't work was just putting that string above into the add field.

If you know the node number, you can add a node with a given title on the User Settings page with "9999|desired text"; eg similar to the code way of doing things but NO square brackets.

Yes, if you know node number. If you do not want to enter node number manualy, or change just title later... I am still in learning mode and have 20+ nodes I want to watch... I believe Personal Nodelet deserves own page. My is sooo long it sure does..:)
