dneedles has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I am hitting a website that requires IE. I thought Win32:IE:Mechanize was the simplest solution. (Is there a way to mimic IE in LWP or Mechanize?)

Withouth the Follow_Link() the program gives the same information you get with View->Source in IE but it doesn't reveal the information you get with RightClick->ViewSource on the specific frame.

When I tried to use follow_link(), in the IE window that opens the site reports errors and clears the frames and the program outputs the wrong data.

I suspect there is something basic I am missing. Any ideas?

use Win32::IE::Mechanize; my $ie = Win32::IE::Mechanize->new( visible => 1 ); $ie->get( 'URL' ); $ie->submit_form( form_name => 'j_security_check', fields => { j_username => 'USER', j_password => 'PASS', j_mapping_key => 'REALM' }, button => 'Login', ); $ie->follow_link('JobPosts/List/NewJobPostList.aspx'); print $ie->content();
