I've never used MIMEDefang, but you might want to try Net::ValidMX. There's an example in the example directory that uses a mimedefang filter. Update: Addded example.	[reply]

you hit the nail on the head! I want my hand held and many soothing words. Actually, my company wants MIMEDEFANG hooked into SENDMAIL for purposes of having a central mail hub from which postings are validated and split into pieces which are then directed to the specific recipients of the post. Soothing words are always appropriate.	[reply]

your requirements are still not very clear. are you trying to modify FROM/TO/BCC based on some business rules?..or splitting up the various parts of all emails into some central indexing buckets? i wouldn't even attempt the former..and for the latter there are easier and more reliable solutions like always storing a copy of every email sent thru sendmail, onto an indexing server. but for all i know my guesses could be completely off the mark. the hardest line to type correctly is: stty erase ^H	[reply]
