merrymonk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Sometime ago, I was given useful answers to the question about registering Perl on a Windows 7 PC.
I now know of a utility program that can do this for Perl and other applications.
This utility can be found on the internet at http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/file_types_manager.html. It is call filetypesman.
I have found it works on Windows XP Professional and I reliably have been told in works on Windows 7.
I thought that other Monks may find it useful.

Very true, there is not any question!
I have had a look at Where should I post X but did not find anywhere particularly logical.
      What would you suggest?
However, having thought some more, there is the question if any Monk has tried this as well and had either sucess or found some problems.

You could follow up on the original node, which i presume is this one Registering Perl on XP failure

Your reply will be seen by the regular monks, so don't worry about it getting lost in the barrage of new nodes. And anyone searching for this node would most likely find the original node instead, and see your new suggestion. Good luck! :)
