Access to Network Share Folders

learner07 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi Monks, I'm new to Perl and I'm struggling to write a script that should check if Network Share Folders exists or not and also need to check if a particular user account has write access to these Share folders. Any help will be highly appreciable!!

Assimung you are on Windows there no difference in handling network shares and handling directories. I don't know if Perls file/directory checks -e and so on work right on file shares but they should. Try it out. And post you code pointing to the problem and explaining what is not not working as you expect.	[reply]
