    Unless you're still wanting data somewhere in the array left alone, undef @multidimensional; will 'empty' out the entire array.

    If you have an array-of-arrays, this might do it: 
    use strict;
use warnings;
use Data::Dumper;

my @aoa = ([1..3], [4..6]);
print Dumper(\@aoa);

@aoa = ();
print Dumper(\@aoa);

__END__

$VAR1 = [
          [
            1,
            2,
            3
          ],
          [
            4,
            5,
            6
          ]
        ];
$VAR1 = [];

    [download]

    @array = ();
$arrayref = [];

    [download]
    works regardless how many 'dimensions' the arrays have.
