Why did I specify the author's path? Well, hmmm, I am following directions in an install file and didn't know you can do it another way.... By the way what seemed to be the issue was that T/TY/TYEMQ/Algorithm-Diff-1.1902.tar.gz is a perquisite. I installed it and then Text::Diff and it works
