Error Installing ExtUtils::MakeMaker 6.46

tej has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I was trying to install win32::exe and it requires ExtUtils::MakeMaker version 6.46 and in my system it is 6.12

When i try to install MakeMaker 6.46 it gives fetal error as Warning: Warning: Failed chmod(438, c:/perl/lib/Extutils/Command.pm): permission denied

I need this urgently. Please help. .

You sure it was fatal? "Warning" means not fatal. Provide more info.	[reply]

and in my system it is 6.12 That indicates a really really old perl, you should consider updating to something from this decade :)	[reply]
