FWIW: If you comment out line 1479 of Parallel::UserAgent.pm, it works fine.
The best as I can tell, all you'll be missing is a few obscure fields in the protocol object that noboby uses anyway. And there seems to be some debate at wc3 as to whether servers should have to provide them or not.
For my purposes, it is a complete no-brainer to just ignore the problem.

That's a shame. It's been quite a while since I've had occasion to use it. Does it not work with LWP::Parallel?
However, if I did need to use it, I'd just revert to the last version of LWP with which it did work.
