A quick question: Do you know on a keycard lock that has an API for writing an own authentication system, preferably in Perl? Just for the fun of it:-)

    It doesn't exist, unless you consider some kind of smart phone that runs perl and connect it to a lock of some sort, or some kind of networked lock that contacts a server for authentication, which could be perl .... locks are mostly a proprietary thing
