Perhaps you are behind a caching proxy of some sort that is *really* stale. I've seen things like that happen at work.

Yeah, I think you’re right. At `$HOME`, I definitely don’t see the same behavior.

i second that observation. so i just ignore what's displayed until i log in. i used to have a perm cookie (a while ago) and even then it was showing old posts until i clicked the Seekers or other link. mind you i'm on ie6 at work..i think i liked Netscape Gold better. the hardest line to type correctly is: stty erase ^H	[reply]
