bobafifi has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I did some editing to a Perl script using TextWrangler (I usually use TextEdit) and now the form is returning pipe (|) characters between every word in a sentence, like so -- "the | brown | fox | jumped | over | etc." -- other than that, script still works. Any ideas what to look for that would cause this?

    Use diff (unix) or fc (windows) to compare the current version of your program with the previous version. Pay special attention to the code around line 42.
