Sounds pretty stupid to me. It would mean you have a program reading images from disk, writing that to a pipe to a different program, which then feeds them to the wire. On top of that, you're storing images in a directory that is supposed to have executables.

I don't have to use cgi-bin directory for that . I can create a directory with only RW permission for apache. That's better than storing files on open directory for all people.	[reply]

I'm not ignoring . Just trying to understand what way is best. I'm working with web development only a few months. I never worked with URL rewrite and other apache modules. Till now I used to work with old CGI and writing all data to files. So I'm new to mysql and mod_perl2 also. If that way with cat images from files is so bad , I won't use it. I will search info for each of the advices I get here. Thanks	[reply]
