PAR-Packer .exe file returns error message

Microcebus has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Dear Monks, I converted a script to an executable file via PAR Packer. This exe file runs without problems on my PC at work (Windows7) and on my private PC (Windows XP) but returns an error message on some other Windows XP systems which says, that libgd-2.dll cannot be found. Can you help me to fix this?

You might not be able to fix the problem. There's a bug report in the GD rt queue about it: Bug #21911. It's been broken since at least 2.35 and hasn't been fixed yet.	[reply]

That is not related. Its the regular common complaint, PAR doesn't automatially pack all required dlls, like libgd-2.dll Embedding extra DLLs into .exe and finding them again Problem in creating exe using PAR module Re^2: Packaging Perl Programs (is) Painful	[reply]
