I suspect that Net::POP3 doesn't support SSL, but gmail requires SSL.

Thanks for reply Please tell me which pop3 module does works for pop.gmail.com I don't want to use any gmail modules like Mail::Webmail::Gmail	[reply]

moritz is right. You probably want Net::POP3::SSLWrapper which provides SSL capabilities with a wrapper to the familiar Net::POP3.	[reply]
