If i run the exact command on a command line on WINXP OS,it runs fine,where is cygwin coming into the picture?	[reply]

I'm asking if Cygwin is coming into the picture. You're not running in Windows if you're using a Cygwin build of Perl since Cygwin is a unix emulation.	[reply]
