Read perlsub (has lots of usage examples, even though it is a reference and not a tutorial), you are calling the subroutine, but without parameters and without storing the return-value somewhere. functions are not magical. You have to tell them what data they have to operate on and you have to tell them where to store the result	[reply]

ur in need of a slap from your English teacher. If you are as careless with your programming as you are with your spelling I would be very surprised if anything ever worked. Jenda Enoch was right! Enjoy the last years of Rome.	[reply]
