What about reading the MAC-address or the CPU-id?

Thankyou for your suggestions. I think I'll go for the MAC Adress. This seems to me a viable solution (and a relative stable value overtime). Welle	[reply]

Just to be clear, people could change their MAC address, or get the Perl source of your executable and alter hardcoded values. Perhaps worth keeping in mind depending on what you're shipping.	[reply]
