I didn't see anything relevant in a 'search' of the monastery, so I'll try here:

My home node shows a count of 8 writeups, which I believe is correct. The list of writeups only shows 7. Any idea where the other one went? Was it so bad it got Reaped?

Just curious...

I would have asked this question in the chatterbox first if I had been in your place, as it would have been easier to just say "hey guys do you see seven or eight posts in the list of my writeups?"

I count 8 posts in the list of writeups, including your question. The count is also listed at 8.

I'm almost certain this has come up several times in Discussion as a bug, but I couldn't find it in Super Search either, brain freeze or something.

Other than ppl that have been around since before the node counting code got straightened out (and NodeReaper who experienced a separate bug), the only reason I've seen for write-up counts to be off is that Categorized Questions and Categorized Answers are counted but don't show in your list of write-ups (because they end up being owned by QandAEditors for convoluted historical reasons).

I have noticed that when you vote on the voting booth that it adds one writeup your list. I don't know why this happens but I know that I only have 164 (165 after I post this) but on my homenode it says that I have 182. Strange, no?

$_.=($=+(6<<1));print(chr(my$a=$_));$^H=$_+$_;$_=$^H; print chr($_-39); # Easy but its ok.
Have you seen in 'Newest Nodes' in the 'New Notes' section the posts with the caption of the voting booth? Investigate!
