Abbreviation with day numbers

bhargava_hemant7 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hey Monks, Is there any way/module in perl with which i can add abbreviations with days like 2 as 2nd, 3 as 3rd, 7 as 7th and so on. Though i googled it, but was of no use :'( May be monks can help me out. Thanks in advance.

The term of art you need for this is "ordinal numbers", or, more specifcally, "ordinal indicator". Given that, the module you might want is Lingua::EN::Numbers::Ordinate (if you're using English, of course)	[reply]
