Loop through excel files and insert respective file name into cell within file

bl1375 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

How to loop through many excel files (placed in a folder) and insert each excel filenames into the cell within the file itself, starting from column A2.... until column An (last row that have data on other column).

There are two common ways of doing this type of thing: 1) Use Spreadsheet::ParseExcel and Spreadsheet::WriteExcel as Corion suggested 2) Use Win32::OLE. There are examples for Excel automation specifically in the docs.	[reply]

Take a look at Excel, especially Spreadsheet::WriteExcel.	[reply]
