Only slightly. For someone who is embarking on a CGI course your lack of HTML knowledge is lamentable. There is no need to manually wrap lines using br tags. You should use the list facilities HTML provides for lists.

Given the comment above I think your expectations for this project are completely unrealistic. Maybe you should look through the Tutorials section here and find something a little more attainable?
