Gat0rvean has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hello all, seeking your infinite wisdom in using perl to solve a (probably) simple issue. What I'm trying to do is write a script that will parse several thousand emails (.msg) and match a Title, IP address and timestamp in GMT and output them into a plain text document while also converting the GMT to EST. Basically I'm looking for an easy way to go through DMCA emails we get and pick out these items and send notifications to the unruly violator.

An example of what I'm extracting from is:

Initial Infringement Timestamp: 26 Apr 2011 15:00:19 GMT

Recent Infringement Timestamp: 26 Apr 2011 15:00:19 GMT

Infringers IP Address: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX

Infringing File Name: Little Fockers2010DvDripEng-FXG

Thanks in advance!

Would you like us to do your laundry for you too while we are at it?
Just looking for suggestions at the moment, but since you seem to have so much free time to troll about, feel free to write something up for review!
