I have made considerable use of Spreadsheet::WriteExcel and Spreadsheet::ParseExcel and have found them to be fine for my needs.

I can second both Spreadsheet::WriteExcel and Spreadsheet::ParseExcel. Both are excellent, and don't require Windows / Excel.	[reply]
