uG has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I always find myself with fresh systems, and I never fail to start my first CPAN install without googling for how to configure each separately (so I can leave things unattended). So I thought it would be great if anyone knew a little one liner I could save for future reference that could accomplish this annoying little task. Who can save me?
