And this might be a really stupid question but what is the \ in process_alert(\@alert)? Is that how you pass in a parameter in Perl? (Sorry, total novice).

`\@alert` creates a reference to the array `@alert`, and the reference is indeed being passed as an argument to a to-be-provided sub `process_alert`.	[reply] [d/l] [select]
