but its outputting nothing. i tried to check it by placing a print @ the 3rd line of the main program.
To solve this mystery, change: 
open(HANDLE, ">>/home/vikash/pro_1/labels") or die $!;

to: 
open(HANDLE, "</home/vikash/pro_1/labels") or die $!;
