    What version of TT2 are you using that doesn't compile templates? I recommend upgrading to one released sometime this century.

    How do you think [% PERL %] blocks work? They use eval

      Ok, but I think it's bad form to embed perl anyway, I only included the <perl> tag in my system because sometimes there is a situation which calls for it instead of the usual method of placing the code neatly away in a plugin which can then be reused.
