Thoughts on AnyEvent and creating a server

tmaly has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Monks,
Has anyone written a server with AnyEvent? I am curious to know what you think of it and how it compares to POE

I have written quite a few servers with POE to do various things like serve up html, json, IKC objects

Brock Wilcox gave a nice talk comparing POE, AnyEvent, Reflex and Coro at YAPC::NA 2011. He doesn't seem to have posted his slides, but he might if you asked. I hear 3/4 of the YAPC videos are nearly done, so his talk may end up at Presenting Perl. My Reflex talk slides are already online.
